chicks

Well we did it we got some chicks. I have wanted a few chickens for awhile now and I was never ready to make the leap and this lady I use to work with order some in the mail and had to order a ton so she offered to whom ever wanted them could get them. I piped up and said me. Then immediately panicked. I was thinking I am not ready for chickens what have I got myself into. I started to read about them and calmed myself down some but then every once in awhile I would get all panicked about them again. Well they are here and I am very excited. I think once we get past this stage we will be doing good. I am sure the next 6 weeks will go by so fast and they will be chickens outside eating bugs and scratching the ground.

I just love these chicks and so do the boys.

some times all you  need to tell the story is a picture or two!

Sun shine

Today the sun was shining and the wind was NOT blowing. SO outside we went. The boys love to walk down to the mailbox at the end of the road. We always go down the motorcycle track today Foster stopped  and looked down at the ground and say "wait there are 2 paths!" So I asked him witch one should we take and he pointed to the one that goes to the mailbox. I thought it was fun to see though his eyes, even just for a second he pointed out to me things I do not notice but know is there.

The boys just love to go outside and jump on the trampoline and now that we moved it a whole half a mile down the road from my moms house back to our house they just love to go out and jump on it.
It was a fun little adventure to move our trampoline. Patrick wanted to take it apart quickly realised the amount of work it was going to be to move it only a half a mile came up with a very good plan.
We got moms old Dodge that she inherited from Grandpa. and we put it on top of it. I thought it was great. I had such a great time with the whole thing. Starting the old truck, ( it is just different then starting our newer cars) pulling it around and helping Patrick put the trampoline on top of it. Then I was the lucky one to drive it to our house. Patrick sat in the back to make sure everything was ok. In the cab was Gabriel, Foster, and the dogs Katie and Tubby and Me all on the bench seat. Oh the memories made! I love that old truck.

Well because it was such a nice day today we played on the swing, the teeter totter, the trampoline, the dirt. I trimmed 3 trees and weeded my front garden  we went outside before noon and did not get in til after 2:30pm I was surprised how quickly the day had gone. I do have to say it did wonders for all our attitudes mine especially.
