our home

recycle old front door knob!
We did it we moved back into my Hubbys child hood home and thanks to Pintrest I have been having so much fun putting up pictures and hanging quotes and upcycling or recycling some of the things I have. I am loving all my things and my home all the more! The thing about Pintest is that it makes me feel so creative but than what? How do I follow through! Well I have done the little things! Like old door knob pulls idea at urbanoutfitters! All the quotes, picture arrangement. Oh the IDEAS! I do have to mention that it can be bad on the figure because I have made cookie dough to just eat and mug brownies, brownie-in-a-mug. Some times easy is bad!

collage with room to grow! (I know it is sideways but I could not figure how to rotate once in blogger)

Vinyl on mirror closet bought at k-mart!

On another note the boys and I went to see The Lorx at the Flood Street Theater with their 5 cousins yesterday. They almost made it to the end of the movie. They love to get together with their cousins.

The cousins stayed the night at Nana and Papa house so bright and early we went to play with them. That is always fun. Nana and Papa made Plans to go swimming at the Veyo Pool. I love that old pool. It has a good kiddie side. The boys got brave and started to jump off the side step in the pool into Nana and my arms. We also raced back and forth with Jordan and Korbin. The boys had an ice cream. When I went to pay for the ice cream Gabriel realized that I was going to get some change. (He LOVES money) I told him he could have the coins the teller handed him the coins and he looks at her and says ohhh thank you! the teller thought he was so cute. I think that made his day. He did not want to share his cone with me. All and all a wonderful day.

Moving

I think it has been almost a week now. We moved back into Patricks childhood home. It has been fun! I have more appriciation for my house but I have a ton to do and not enough money. Patrick keeps telling me one thing at a time. His dad has helped me with things when Patrick can not because he is at work.

full circle

I guess we have come full circle. Over a year ago we moved to Las Vegas for Patricks work. We have had a renter in our house that long but now we are moving back into it. Kinda funny it does not seem like we even left. We will be staying in Patrick's childhood home until it sales or Patrick gets so sick of commuting that far and decides what the next step is. I am thankful that we were able to do what we have been doing because I am able to stay with my  boys and I would never trade that for the world. I love you Patrick for the opertunities you have given me!

New Harmony Mud Run 2012

I wanted to this run as soon as I saw it the New Harmony Mud Run. The thing is that I did not want to do it alone. Of course I set into motion a plan that no one could turn down. It all started at the Midnight 5K. We were delirious from being up late and drunk on Denny's breakfast at 1am. The first 4 of my 5 woman team. Jamie my sister, My mom and Emily a family friend and me. I put them all on the spot. so are you in for the New Harmony Mud run? I asked them and the answer was Yes! Wahoo! Thank goodness for late night running and bad for you food. I was so excited. but we needed a 5th team member. I thought Stacy will do it! and with no hesitation she said yes. She is crazy like that.
Fast forward to the actual mud run.  I was so excited to go and get muddy it was just like being a kid again. jumping walls running through tires and the HUGE sprinklers from the fire trucks  Some challenging too we walked through what felt like 5 miles of sand up a rocky steep hill and then down a road. We crawled through tubes and played in the mud. I can not express the amount of fun I had. We were even asked to do a fun mud run video shot for a video guy. We pretended we were the best and the fastest ones out there but in reality we were last. But I am telling you I had the best time doing this 5k out of the 9 I have done. I am hooked bring on another Mud Run!

Hurry up and stand in line!

"Diaper off Mom"

So I have been struggling with how to potty train twin boys! I have read books asked for advice from other parents of boys. I make sure that their Daddy shows them how it is done and I have tryed with no success. But last night Gabriel came over to me while I was zoned in on the computer and said "Diaper off Mom" so I helped him take it off. I caught him peeing on the floor. I said "NO! don't pee on the floor go pee in the  toilet." I took him into the bathroom to try he played with the lid up and down up and down. then he put his potty seat on the toilet and off then lid up and down. I decided the was done so I picked him up to put another diaper on him and he got mad and said "NOOO! MOM potty!" so I took him back it  and let him play with the toilet some more he finally decided to go. Now I have to set the scene for you he is not quite tall enough to stand by the toilet to go pee. So after trying sitting on the toilet with the ring lid up and down, sitting frontward and backwards.  He also tryed standing on a stool in front of the toilet and not figuring that would work. he lifted both lids and leaned way over standing on the floor on his tippy toes and having to brace himself on the other side of the toilet he finally did it he pee pee in the toilet and was so excited about it. He may have been more excited that he got a penny for his penny bank. He did it again he did not want to put his penny in the bank. But I promised he could have a penny every time he goes in the potty. So it begins the journey of potty training. Bring it on I am so ready to be done with diapers.

Just thinking

I was just thinking about things and how stressful the last few years have been. I almost feel as though I have not had the opertunity to just sit and enjoy. That is what  I am suppose to be doing, enjoying my boys being little. They are only little once! I just loved looking back at some of the pictures we have taken and how much has changed and that the time spent that I remember are just short moments. anyways I was just thinking!
